On a request from the leadership of the People's Party of Iran
The leadership of the People's Party of Iran (PPI) has addressed the CPSU Central Committee (special telegram from Teheran No. 1077 from 30.4.1980) with a request to pay expenses related to travel for 10 PPI Party Workers from Iran to the USSR for Party business. The total sum of expenses is 578,920 Iranian Riyals (5,270 rubles).
It would be expedient to approve this request from our Iranian friends and pay the PPI leadership the indicated sum. The expenses could be taken from the Party budget.
The transfer of the mentioned sum with cash in Iranian Riyals to the PPI Central Committee representative could be done expediently in Teheran through the channels of the USSR KGB.
A draft CPSU Central Committee Resolution is attached.
