The Bulgarian security agencies have turned to the MfS with the request for review and disclosure regarding which information about the below Italian citizen are available

There is an active measure in the preparatory phase for the exposure of the so-called “Bulgarian trail” in the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II, which is being realized via XXX [redacted].

According to a disclosure from Department XII of the MfS, the above-named person is not included in this information. A review by the HA VI/storage leadership has not been done by Department X.

A notice of receipt and a corresponding directive is requested.
