Soldatov, Aleksandr Alekseevich 1915 - 1999

Aleksandr Alekseevich Soldatov was a Soviet diplomat. Soldatov served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Great Britain from January 11, 1960, to January 27, 1966. Following this, he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Cuba, a position he held from January 15, 1968, to December 4, 1970. He then became the Rector of MGIMO MFA USSR, serving from May 3, 1971, to June 10, 1974. Finally, he served as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USSR to Lebanon from October 17, 1974, to April 22, 1986.
