November 14, 1954	Jawaharlal Nehru, 'Note on Visit to China and Indo-China' Nehru gives a detailed report on his visit to China and Indo-China. He first gives a summary of the issues and topics he covered in discussions in China with Zhou En-Lai and Mao, which covered a broad range of subjects including China's Five Year Plan, and various foreign policy issues. Nehru then describes his visit to Indochina, where he speaks with Ho Chi Minh (five days after he takes control of Hanoi) in North Vietnam, and also tours South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.
December 24, 1949	Telegram from Liu Shaoqi to Mao Zedong on Military Developments in Yunnan and China’s Aid to Vietnam
July 5, 1954	Transcript, Ho Chi Minh's presentation at the Liuzhou Conference (excerpt) In his speech to the Liuzhou Conference, Ho Chi Minh thanks Premier Zhou for helping the Communist Party of Indochina. Ho Chi Minh then goes on to talk about the situation in Vietnam, and how they should be pursuing peace, but preparing for both war.
May 25, 1956	Telegram on Record of April 1956 Conversation with Nguen Zui Chin Record of Nguen Zui Chin's discussion with USSR Ambassador M. V. Zimyanin and Sokolov about the meeting of the IXth CC PTV Plenum, whose goal was to review resolutions of the USSR XXth CPSU Congress. The Plenum discussed a range of topics including American involvement in South Vietnam, the cult of personality and propaganda, foreign policy, the sixth five-year plan of the USSR, economic and cultural development, strengthening the Party, peoples' assemblies, and Party leadership. Chin also detailed streamlining party organizations.
1955	Instructions for Talks with the State Delegation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam Instructions outlining topics of discussion for an upcoming meeting between Soviet officials and Democratic Republic of Vietnam leader Ho Chi Minh. Main topics of discussion in the first section include the Geneva agreements, relations with France, counteracting US plans in Indo-China, Laos and Cambodia, the United National Front, land reform, and the evacuation of Catholics to South Vietnam. Discussion points on DVR-Soviet Union relations include economic and technical assistance, trade, shipments to the Vietnamese People’s Army, the provision of credit, training DRV specialists in the USSR, advisors and Russian language teachers, military, and the Joint Communiqué.
1992	A Glorious Model of Proletarian Internationalism: Mao Zedong and Helping Vietnam Resist France Luo Guibo recounts China's involvement in the First Indochina War and its assistance to the Viet Minh.
September 3, 1969	Minutes of Conversation between the Shah and Nicolae Ceaușescu, Teheran The Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi spoke with Nicolae Ceaușescu regarding President Nixon's speech in which he talks about disengaging the US from issues that do not concern the US, but also not abandoning allies. The Shah recalled that he told President Nixon long ago to withdraw from Vietnam. The Arab-Israeli conflict was also discussed.
September 10, 1958	Telegram, Mao Zedong to Ho Chi Minh Mao informs Ho Chi Minh that he should not be concerned by the Chinese bombardment of Kinmen Island, as "the Americans are afraid of fighting a war."
July 16, 1973	On the Visit of a PRP Party and Parliamentary Delegation to the DPRK The East German Embassy in Warsaw reports on the improvement in relations between North Korea and China after the Cultural Revolution.
July 17, 1966	Ho Chi Minh's Appeal to the Vietnamese Nation to Fight Against the Americans Ho Chi Minh discussed the American military escalation: The deployment of troops in South Vietnam, the use of chemical poisons and napalm, the bombing of the North, etc. He said that the only way peace can be achieved is by the US pulling out from Vietnam and accepting the DRV's 4 points and the NLF's 5 points. Ho Chi Minh then called on the Vietnamese nation to keep on fighting until victory.
