Khrushchev and Marshal Amer discuss regional developments in Iraq and Syria, the Kurdish question, anti-imperialist struggles, and the UAR’s economic nationalization efforts. Khrushchev criticizes Arab nationalism and the repression of communists, while Amer requests a review of Soviet arms pricing and emphasizes the UAR's commitment to socialism and independence.

They discusses the current state of the affairs in the Levant and Arab world, including plots against Khalid Al-Azm himself and several other regional leaders. Then, Al-Azm thanks Khrushchev for the Soviet government's support to the Syrian people and delegation members explain how the National Front has been acting to prevent the incursion of imperialist forces.

October 1959 conversation between Mao Zedong and the Soviet diplomat and sinologist S.F. Antonov, in which Mao attempted to reassure the Soviets that China would not provoke war with the United States or with its Asian neighbors. In his conversation with Antonov, Mao attempts to lessen the impact of China’s displeasure with Soviet policies. He tries hard to show his agreement with Moscow on every issue—the United States, Taiwan, India, Tibet, disarmament.

Mao Zedong and N.S. Khrushchev discuss a joint navy, use of China’s coastline and advisers in both countries.

Comrade Kliszko presents Liu Ningyi with a letter from six socialist countries calling for a conference to discuss aid and coordination in Vietnam in response to "American imperialism." He urges China to rally against this common enemy, despite the ideological differences dividing the socialist nations. Liu responds harshly both to the proposal and to Comrade Kliszko's statement, arguing China "did not want anything to do with a revisionist clique of the Soviet Union’s leadership and its lackeys."

Soviet bloc leaders discuss current UN resolutions being devised to deal with the Middle East crisis and unmask U.S. imperialism at work. They talk about the US's desire to forces Nasser out. They also discuss internal Israeli politics, with dovish president Eshkol pitted against hawkish Defense Minister Dayan. They agree that this may be the best chance to make the Arabs realize that a political solution, not a military one, is necessary to solve the Middle East crisis. Tito pushes for a common resolution of all socialist countries, not just the USSR.
