March 25, 1984	Cable from Ambassador Katori to the Foreign Minister, 'Prime Minister Visit to China (Foreign Ministers’ Discussion – The State of the Korean Peninsula)' Abe Shintaro and Wu Xueqian review developments in Korea in light of North Korea's attempted assassination of Chun Doo-hwan during the Rangoon bombing.
May 2, 1949	Ciphered Telegram from Shtykov Soviet Ambassador to North Korea Shtykov reports that South Korean forces were being expanded with US assistance and that the government of President Syngman Rhee was taking steps to increase the combat readiness of its army.
July 25, 1975	Prime Minister Miki – President Ford Meeting Discussion Outline An extensive overview of international issues bearing on the US-Japan relationship, including the situations in the Korean Peninsula, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
December 1954	Message, President Syngman Rhee to General Taylor and his forces In this Christmas Message, President Rhee addresses General Taylor and the US Forces. He praises the US troops for their victory against the communist aggression during the Korean War. Rhee recognizes America for continuing to “defend human liberty” not only in Korea but in all of Asia. Rhee ends the message with the goal of creating a “free, united, and democratic” Korea.
March 11, 1955	Letter, Lieutenant General C. B. Ferenbaugh to President Rhee The United States has created a policy to aid the Republic of Korea by 1) strengthening the military establishment and, 2) helping stabilize her economy. Military aid would take the form of 720 thousand troops distributed amongst the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and the Air Force.
June 23, 1955	Letter, Lt. General C.R. Ferenbaugh to Vice Minister Lee Ho On June 21, 1955, two defecting members of the North Korean Air force landed a North Korean YAK-18 on Seoul International Airport. Lt. General C.R. Ferenbaugh urges Vice Minister Lee Ho to relinquish the aircraft to the 5th US Air force and the Air Technical Intelligence Center, whom have the “best means” for a thorough investigation on the enemies’ (DPRK and USSR) aircraft and aeronautical industrial technique.
